  • 1 large loaf Italian or French bread (1 pound)
  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti cooked al dente
  • 1 cup marinara sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese can use a blend of cheeses
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for garlic butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the garlic butter by combining olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.
  • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and hollow out the insides, leaving about a half-inch border.
  • Brush the garlic butter mixture onto the cut sides of the bread.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked spaghetti, marinara sauce, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly.
  • Fill the hollowed-out bread with the spaghetti mixture, packing it tightly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top of the spaghetti filling.
  • Place the stuffed bread halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
  • Slice and serve warm.
