Cheese

Crust

  • 2 pre-made Pie Crusts Store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 egg Egg (for egg wash) Beaten egg for a golden finish.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in diced bell peppers and chopped onions. Cook until softened, about 3 to 4 minutes. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Add pizza sauce to the beef mixture, stir well, and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
  • Roll out one pie crust and place it into a pie dish, pressing it into the bottom and sides.
  • Pour the beef mixture into the prepared crust and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Cover with the second pie crust, pinch edges to seal, and make vent holes in the top crust.
  • Brush the top crust with a beaten egg.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
