Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Stir in diced bell peppers and chopped onions. Cook until softened, about 3 to 4 minutes. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Add pizza sauce to the beef mixture, stir well, and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
Roll out one pie crust and place it into a pie dish, pressing it into the bottom and sides.
Pour the beef mixture into the prepared crust and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover with the second pie crust, pinch edges to seal, and make vent holes in the top crust.
Brush the top crust with a beaten egg.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
