Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  • Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into even rounds.
  • Layer the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella on top of the chicken.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Prepare the fresh basil by rinsing and patting dry.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze over the chicken before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves and let rest before serving.
