  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

For the Buttered Noodles:

  • 1 lb egg noodles, wide or medium
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces in a single layer and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and lightly browned.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, bring to a simmer, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package directions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain well and return to the pot.
  6. Add cubed butter to the hot noodles and toss until melted and evenly coated.
  7. Season buttered noodles with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Add the cooked chicken and its sauce to the buttered noodles, tossing gently to combine.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

For a richer version, stir in ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese or a splash of heavy cream before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
